WORSHIP

God has called us to a life of worship and prayer, but often times we might find ourselves sitting toward the back of the room, looking on as others bear their souls to the Lord or pray for those around them, unsure of what that looks like in our own lives. Don’t worry, dear sister, you cannot mess this up in His eyes.

Worshiping means simply humbling yourself before your Creator. Prayer is simply your loving communication with God.

God’s promise is that when you submit to Him through worship with overabundant love that He will respond. The promise is not that your burdens will be lifted or that your life will be free of pain or hurt. The promise is that He will show up. All you need to do is come.

This is our opportunity to deepen our own lives and the lives of the women around us. To worship together, learn the life of prayer, and to personally pray over each other as we grow stronger in our relationship with the Lord.

Worship

“Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise.”
— James 5:13

Service

SeRVICE

Jesus was the ultimate servant, and through his work, we learn that true greatness in the Kingdom of God is not based on our riches or our authority, but in serving one another. God placed each of us on this Earth to make a difference, to add to this life, and to give something back.

You were blessed to be a blessing.

Every day, the pain and suffering of Christ on the cross can be seen all around us in our brothers and sisters, broken by the struggles of this world. The beauty of servanthood is that there are no prerequisites. It requires no special gifts or talents, but simply to pray for God to give us the heart of servant, and then to obey.

“God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.”
— Hebrews 6:10

Community

“For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.”
— Matthew 18:20

If you’ve ever felt isolated or abandoned, rest assured, you’re not alone in those feelings. One of the plainest expressions of love in Scripture is fellowship, and yet the sins of this world tell us that we need to live only within ourselves. We fall victim to surface-level relationships, internalizing our own struggles and being distracted with temporary pleasures that lie within reach.

There is no doubt God is for you, but often times, He may not show up the way you think. Chances are, you feel His presence from the people around you because He is present inside of those who love Him.

The bottom line: We need each other.

He desires for us to be connected in a community where we can trust, rely and support one another, creating an environment of love and acceptance. Community is a gift from God! Let us receive it with joy knowing we don’t have to go it alone.

Each quarter, you will find opportunities for serving our community. Together, we can follow the Lord, and humbly serve those in need.
